Kahiki is a talented and versatile musician whose journey began at age 14 in Paris, exploring electric guitar, punk, and heavy metal. By 16, he had formed a band but soon shifted his focus to acoustic guitar, honing his skill and precision. After studying Production and Arrangement at the American Music Institute in Paris under Shannon Murray (saxophonist for Tower of Power and Toto), Kahiki returned to Rarotonga at 20 with a mission: to grow as a musician and share his passion.
Today, Kahiki is a sought-after solo artist and wedding/event performer across Rarotonga, Paris, Chamonix, and beyond. His music blends roots, rock, and reggae into soulful, energetic performances reminiscent of artists like Ben Harper and John Mayer. He plays acoustic, electric, and slide guitar, creating heartfelt live music for weddings, festivals, private parties, and restaurant gigs.
His debut album, No Man’s Plan, features original tracks full of emotion, several of which have been used in local advertising. Whether performing solo for an intimate vibe or with his band for a lively, full-sound experience, Kahiki brings authentic joy and unforgettable energy to every event.
Kahiki regularly performs across Rarotonga at venues such as Tiare`s (Former LBV) in Muri, Tamarind House/Ukulele Bar in Avarua, Castaway Resort every Sunday in Arorangi and Takitumu Tapas in Muri, with performance schedules available locally.
